Developer API Terms

This document was last updated on Mar 15, 2026

Overview

These Developer API Terms ("API Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mockuuups Studio API ("API"). By creating a developer account or using the API, you agree to these terms. These API Terms supplement our general Terms of Service.

The API is operated by Mockuuups s.r.o. ("we", "us", "our"). The terms "you" and "your" refer to the developer or organization using the API.

1. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the API for your own business purposes, subject to these terms and your subscription plan. You may not sublicense, sell, or redistribute access to the API.

2. What you can use the API for

The API is designed to help you automate mockup generation within your own workflows. Permitted uses include:

3. Prohibited uses

You may not use the API to:

If you are unsure whether your intended use is permitted, please contact us before proceeding.

4. Usage and limits

API usage is metered using credits. Your plan determines the number of credits available per billing cycle. We may set and change limits at any time. When credits are depleted, API requests will be declined until your plan renews or you upgrade.

5. API credentials

You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your credentials. Do not share API keys with third parties. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

6. Monitoring

We may monitor API usage to ensure quality, improve our services, and verify compliance with these terms.

7. Intellectual property

We own all rights to the API, mockup templates, and related content. Rendered mockups are licensed under the terms of our License page linked below. Content you upload (screenshots, designs, logos) remains yours — we do not store or use it beyond generating your requested mockups.

8. Changes to the API

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the API or any part of it at any time without prior notice. We may also update these terms — continued use of the API after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your API access at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the API at any time by deleting your API keys.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The API is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the API will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of liability

We are not responsible for lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the API. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

12. Governing law

These API Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved by the courts in Prague, Czech Republic.
