1. Do a research
First thing you need to do is check who will be attending your presentation. You need to tailor the content of your presentation to your audience. Speak in a way that makes them feel like you are addressing them individually. This will raise your credibility and show that you’ve done your homework in advance
2. Tell a Story
One of the main goal is to sell the audience on an idea. It could be a pitch for investing in a new company, a plan for reorganizing a business or a proposal for a scientific research project. For the audience to understand the presentation intellectually as well as emotionally, it needs to be told as a cohesive narrative story.
3. Communicate with the Audience
A great presentation is always two ways of the communication, despite the fact that you are the only one speaking. Although you do not want your audience interrupting your speech, make it engaging: look at the audience, speak to the whole audience. Your audience wants to be spoken to. Ask rhetorical questions, use short pauses when you are, for example, changing the subject or moving on to another topic.
4. Keep It Shorts
I never heard that someone complained about a PowerPoint presentation being too short. Audience gets bored and stops paying attention if your presentation is too long. Presentation loses its effectiveness. People not only stop processing new information, in fact, but begin to resent that it’s a time wasting.

During your presentation you want to be remembered - repeat it and repeat it again. The first time they weren't listening. The second time they caught part of it and the third time they might hear it and remember it.

People always trying to make awesome slide, and focus on them. But it’s the biggest mistake. Attention should be on the presenter and on the compelling story that he or she has to tell. Presentation is effective at providing supplementary information, like simple, colorful graphs or other relevant imagery, but should never be the main source of information. The worst thing a presenter can do is to turn around and read from the slides.
It doesn’t matter if you are presenting a corporate or your own service or product. You must show some character when presenting. Because people listening not because of the product, but because of how you’re representing it! If you don’t do this you’ll probably sound like Agent Smith from the Matrix. Nobody wants to hear him present.
8. Presentation Design
Another very important things is design. Don’t overload your slides with text and read this text to them. Most likely your audience will have finished reading your text before you. And don’t put anything on a slide (text, images, pictures, tables, and graphs) if you are not going to talk about them, or mention them. It will only confuse your audience.
9. Finish Strong
The end of the presentations is also very important. You need to be clear that you answered all the questions and talked about everything you wanted. Once you’ve delivered your final, don’t say “thank you” right away. Instead, wait 5 to 7 seconds and then say, “I’m happy to take your questions.”
10. Take a Feedback
Sometimes people forget to ask or to listen intently to audience questions. You need to plan to spend a several minutes with each one and don’t exaggerate or pounce on ideas that vigorously challenge your thesis. Staying calm and in control will help your case.
