Mockuuups started out of frustration for the lack of quality mockups to showcase our work back in 2014.
One day we decided enough was enough. We grabbed a DSLR camera, headed to the park opposite the office, and snapped pictures of ourselves holding phones to create our own scenes.
A few days later, we released four on Dribbble and the community loved them with over 10K responses.
It’s been a wild ride since then (full story below). But we’ve snowballed into one of the largest collections of device mockups available—across our app, web generator, and design tool plugins.
We’re on a mission to bring you the fastest mockup experience — and give you the freedom to create your own mockup scenes as if you were in the studio shooting with us.
Unlike most tech companies where the goal is to gain more “users” to keep greedy investors happy, Mockuuups is 100% self-funded.
It's risky, but it means our only choice is to pay attention and provide you, our customers, the best possible mockup experience.
We’ll never be the brand with silly budgets to target you on every platform. But believe in the old saying, “the cream rises to the top.”
By supporting us, know we're thrilled to have you on our journey to building a sustainable small business doing what we love:
Companies with bloated teams often struggle to get the buy-in for product updates — and suffer from "too many cooks in the kitchen" to get stuff done.
Two of us work tirelessly, and we're lucky to have a talented team of individuals who support us in achieving our goals. Whenever we spot an opportunity to enhance your experience or come up with fresh ideas for mockup collections, we take immediate action, utilizing cameras or keyboards to bring them to life.
Like you, we found ourselves tired and frustrated by the lack of quality mockups available to showcase our work. So, one day we decided something needed to be done about it.
We grabbed a DSLR camera, headed to the park opposite the office, and snapped pictures of ourselves holding phones to create our own scenes. Days later, we released four on Dribbble and the community loved them with over 10K responses.

Balancing our professional responsibilities, we immersed ourselves in the spirit of indie hackers while crafting the Mockuuups Studio app. Engineered to streamline the task of integrating screenshots into mockups, our app provided a hassle-free alternative to Photoshop.
The exhilaration of attracting our first paying customers during the launch ignited our drive to persistently enhance and broaden our self-funded product.
In the early days, we had no marketing budget and needed to leverage something bigger. In 2019, Figma gave us the perfect platform to create a plugin to offer their customers our mockups without leaving Figma. And things took off.

With enough momentum, David could quit his job in 2020 and dedicate himself to Mockuuups Studio. Woop!
But struggling to keep up with demand for new scenes with requests for diverse hand models and unique settings…
It was then that Igor, a skilled photographer, joined our team, bringing his expertise to aid us in capturing captivating visuals.
In 2021 we launched the Studio, where you can get access to customizable mockups as if you were in the studio shooting with us.
Harry, our talented copywriter, enhances our brand communication, while Maroš and Veronika, two young and creative designers, elevate the quality and creativity of our offerings. Together, we are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience that leaves a lasting impression.

What a year it was! We were determined to improve the user experience of our product, so we dove in headfirst.
We focused on making the Editor more intuitive and user-friendly, and it paid off big time. Our users loved the improvements, and we saw a huge surge in engagement. With the invaluable assistance of Lucie, our talented photographer, we successfully unveiled more than 1500 brand-new device mockups showcasing the latest phones, laptops and tablets.
And we have some exciting news - Marek is fully dedicated to Mockuuups! His energy and fresh ideas have been a huge asset to the team, and we can't wait to see what he'll help us achieve in the future.
We promised print mockups in 2023. As a two-person team, it took longer than planned.
They're finally here. Business cards, posters, books, apparel. Shot in our Prague studio, now live across all platforms.
Studio Najbrt helped us turn the "UUU" problem into our identity instead of fighting it.
We're now licensing mockup scenes from creators worldwide. This lets us authentically represent environments beyond Prague while maintaining our quality standards.

We're self-funded, profitable, and both of us full-time now.
We've rebuilt everything on a unified codebase. What used to take months now takes days. New platform integrations are ready when you need them.
We're licensing mockup scenes from creators worldwide. Real environments from Asia, Europe, Latin America. We still shoot in Prague and process everything ourselves.
5,000+ mockups. 500,000+ designers. You found us through Figma or Google, not ads.
Every month we add new devices and scenes based on your requests. More product updates coming.
If you've read this far, thank you. Every single one of you.
