Do you upload images I import somewhere?
No. For normal use of Mockuuups Studio on the web, desktop app, and plugins, imported designs are processed on your device. We do not upload the contents of your imported files to our servers for ordinary mockup creation.
Only the mockup templates are loaded from our servers. Your imported files stay private and do not leave your device for normal import and export workflows.
From analytics, we can tell which mockup you picked and the extension of the image you imported (for example png or jpg). We do not receive the full filename or the contents of your imported image.
Exceptions
A few cloud features use our servers when you choose them:
- Share links — only when you create a share; the shared asset is uploaded for that purpose.
- Server-side rendering (planned) — if local rendering fails (for example WebGL issues), we may offer a server fallback. This is not the default path and is not live yet.
Is my intellectual property safe?
Yes, because we process your designs locally for most cases. Images uploaded as part of the exceptions above are not used for any other purpose. Not for statistics, not for any AI training.
If your risk and compliance requires strict IP protection, please use the opt-out to fully enforce local-only operation.
Opt-out
On a team plan, the team owner can turn off all cloud features in Manage Account.
Turning these off blocks the optional uploads above for everyone on the team. Share links cannot be created, and we will not process any designs on our servers. Ordinary mockup creation is unchanged: imported designs still stay on each person’s computer.
